Chapter 78: Back to Leveling, the Easy Way

Sarah was sitting cross-legged next to a Human skeleton, in a surprisingly clean basement, when a six-foot tall man suddenly appeared before her. His porcelain skin was glowing dimly in the absolute darkness, but even if he had gotten a bit taller, she immediately recognized him.

She glared at the naked Nephilim, “So you finally evolved, huh? It seems like your tiny dick’s gotten a bit bigger too.”

Michael retorted “Bitch please, even when it was smaller, your tiny pussy was still torn apart.” The damage to her vaginal walls, cervix, anus and even her uterus had been so severe, that outside of the Player-House, she would have certainly died.

The naked girl nonchalantly told him “I’m not horny so just shove it into my tail, but don’t talk, cause I’m trying to meditate.” Letting out a long and dramatic sigh, he quietly followed her instructions, while sitting closely behind her.

He was enjoying the ‘worm-job’ but was slightly bored without any visual or auditory stimuli. Thus, he sent his wisp out in search of ‘pornography.’ Elina was sitting on the toilet of Light and he only needed to see her bright-red face and hear the loud groaning, to know that he didn’t want to watch that particular performance.

After that, he searched for Talia, but she wasn’t in the house. Thus, he was forced to look elsewhere for inspiration.

Considering that the sun was already rising, the plateau was fairly illuminated and he could see a variety of potential targets. While Tyler was playing around near the river, a certain Ogress and calico cat-girl, were ‘playing’ inside of the crudely constructed hut.

Since the size difference was so dramatic, Michael complimented “It’s not the first time I’ve seen a woman get double-fisted… but it’s still extremely erotic. Hmmm, yep this will do just fine, hehe~.”

Compared to when they actually had intercourse, he was finished surprisingly quickly. Once he pulled the tail off, with a loud ‘plop,’ Sarah asked “So, what are you gonna do now that you’ve evolved?”

He immediately answered “Isn’t that obvious? I’m gonna grind some levels! Inari is already level-nine for fuck’s sake… I really don’t wanna get beaten by her for some reason.”

The meditating girl complained “Doesn’t that damn dog ever have ta sleep? Even if I don’t, I’m still too tired to go running around in the jungle right now. Well, I’ll finish learning Necromancy, before I start fighting again.”

Michael laughed hysterically, then said “Ya know~, it’d be way faster if you just leveled up a few times and then placed all your stat-points into Wisdom. With a shit-ton of mana-regen, you could literally double, triple or quadruple your progress. That’s why I haven’t been dicking around with Professions yet. I mean, it’ll be more tedious later on, but a lot faster and easier.”

She shouted “I know that already you bastard! Just go the fuck away and let me finish this!” Her Stamina was hovering around 5/15 and she felt like her head was pounding from exhaustion, but she couldn’t sleep because of the throbbing pain.

It took him a few minutes, but he finally vanished, while telling her “Have fun, I guess?” His destination was roughly two miles to the west: The Forgotten Grotto.

When the Nephilim appeared on that stone platform, Goliath lazily opened his eyes and gazed down at the unfamiliar man. However, with a simple ‘Identification’ spell, he was easily able to recognize him.

The giant green turtle chuckled loudly and bellowed “Congratulations! It seems you’ve been busy, huh? So~, I assume you’re here to feed your gluttonous friend…”

Michael snickered, “Maybe you won’t be that impressed, but I think that this particular batch of fresh meat will be a lot more tasty than the last.” First, he released five tiger carcasses, which were instantly devoured for a total of ‘+42 Exp and +21 silver coins.’

His body began radiating enormous amounts of light, and the monotonous voice announced “You have reached level twelve.” Then he quickly threw out a large Silverback Gorilla, which was consumed at a rate of ‘+8 Exp and 4 silver coins.’

After that was a bisected Lesser Demon woman, with four arms, that was worth ‘+40 Exp and 20 silver coins.’ At that point, Goliath laughed heartily, before bellowing “Good, good! Delicious! Ah~, it’s been far too long since I last tasted a Chaotic snack! If you can find me a nice Fire Demon, I’ll definitely give you something special!”

He received double the normal rewards for delivering that particular treat, so it was clear that there were other factors besides just level, rank and quality. Michael told him “Well, I’ll keep an eye out for em, but I still have a bit more left to shovel into your gigantic mouth.”

Two massive carcasses appeared at the same time: a giant white-tiger and a bear-shaped treant. Without hesitation, they were both grabbed by the tentacles and sucked into the colossal beak.

As ‘+78 Exp and 39 silver coins’ appeared, he asked “Before I bring out these next two, I need to know… How do you feel about Angels?”

Goliath chuckled loudly, causing the ground to vibrate and some of the stalactites even fell from the ceiling. Then he answered “They don’t taste quite as delicious as Demons or creatures of the Fire Affinity. Well, now that you’ve become a Nephilim, you should notice it soon. You’ll start to crave the Darkness, thirst and hunger for it… even lust over it. Hohohoho, but that’s why you humanoids are so hell-bend on vilifying each-other. Beasts are much more in tune with their instincts and aren’t afraid to eat, kill, or mate with whatever they desire!”

Michael snickered and said “Okay, okay~, calm your giant turtle tits. Here’s two tasty Angels for you to not quite enjoy as much as I had expected…” When the winged man and woman flopped onto the stone slab, the tentacles wrapped around them and then the Devourer thoroughly enjoyed the flavor.

A huge ‘+228 Exp and 114 silver coins’ popped up, and the naked man started glowing brightly again. Once he Equipped all of his gear, he finally decided to invest his stat-points. However, he was slightly confused by the surprisingly amount of experience that he received.

Since he was curious about it, he doubled his Dexterity, and the result was similar to what he had anticipated. Aside from increasing his finger movements dramatically, he was also able to manipulate the Arcane weapons using ‘Telekinesis’ with far less effort.

The other three points were invested into Strength, Vitality and Endurance, because they were essentially the most important Tanking stats. He smiled at the giant turtle and then said “Well, it’s been a pleasure doing business with you, as always…”

However, right when he was about to Astral-Step away, Goliath yelled “Wait! I still haven’t given you anything in return!”

Hearing that, Michael started laughing hysterically and told him “Ah, I completely forgot about that! Hmmm~, then how about a skill-book for Light stuff? Maybe one for Priests and another for Paladins?”

    • If i understood correctly then only
Light/Darkness nd Nature/Chaos works like that where they r weak to eachother nd so on
While the 4 elements work in a circle where 1 element is weak to a specific element but strong to another element also nd so on.
That is if i read it properly.

    • Fire, Wind, Earth and Water Affinities oppose eachother… but it’s more like, an Earth DPS does more damage to a Water enemy, but an Earth Tank takes less damage from a Wind enemy? Earth Healers would heal other Earth Affinity allies more. Thus, Wind Affinity DPS would do more damage to Earth, rather than Earth simply being weak against Wind lol.

    • Endurance gives 5 points of health and 5 points of stamina. Vitality gives 5 points of health and ten points of health regen per hour. Basically, if he puts one point in both at the same time, health goes up by ten lol.

  1. Can he feed his own corpses to Goliath? That seems like a very ridiculous way to level up.

He can probably have his neighbors kill him as a favor. They’d gain experience and he’d get his body. He’d also avoid having to pass those mana stones.

    • Also as far as slavery goes. If you’re a Necromancer and bring back a sentient Undead wouldn’t controlling it be considered slavery? Or what about that Enthrall spell being used on sentient people?

      • I already explained how it’s impossible to ‘control’ the undead with souls. Which is why they usually just focus on making Darkness Golems, which are basically just undead that have no will of their own. Hmmm, Enthrall and Charm or other similar spells are pretty sketchy but if the person tries to ‘abuse’ them past a certain point, obviously the system would intervene.

      • I wonder why Lily immediately attacked Richard when she turned undead then. Was she enraged like that rat girl or something?

      • Well, in Re: Ocean, didn’t the guy get tentacle fucked in the ass by the squid and then had a bunch of fertilized eggs laid in his intestines? Actually, nvm, it doesn’t really make sense, cause it was just like bam, one fully formed instant squid lol. Didn’t it take him like forever to go from tiny squid to normal sized squid? Well, whatever, it’s probably bad to think to hard about Re: Ocean lol

  2. I suppose his next affinity would be chaos? He’s already a pregnante male fornicating with other species… And I can’t even remember all of the laws of nature he broke… I wonder what effet would his evolution have on the creatures growing in his bladder… I mean… They do feed in him to grow, no?

    • If you aren’t a Tank, then the amount of damage that enemies can do to you will be increased dramatically, depending on how many affinities you have. It’s basically a double-edged sword. Even if you’re a tank, and you have Light Affinity at level 1, getting the bonus of 10% less damage taken from Darkness enemies, if the enemy your fighting is a DPS and has Darkness Affinity Level 9, they would be able to deal 80% more damage to you, than if you didn’t have it? Of course, the opposite is also true… but it’s harder to raise a bunch of affinities at the same time, rather than just focusing on one. Although, since you gain different types of affinities by doing different things, it might be more efficient to have a bunch of them lol Well, in the low levels, it’s different, but later on, well, the multipliers would get pretty ridiculous lol Also, some spells or weapons have special affects like “Does double damage to enemies of the Light Affinity” lol.

    • Lmao, good thing the sharp barbs are on the outside :). Hmm, if she was going to become Humanoid, it would be a major spoiler if I said ‘yes’ lol, it would also be a spoiler if I told you ‘no.’

      • Hmmm, he really does need a butler, or maid, or a lot of them lol. Although, I’m not really sure what they would do around the house… Well, I’ve always hated the concept of ‘servants.’ I mean, at least for normal people, cleaning rooms and shit like that isn’t as demeaning and fucked up as they make it out to be in most xianxia ect. In those stories servants are basically slaves, but in America at least, paying people to clean your house doesn’t mean you own them; hell, they usually make a decent amount of money doing those kinda jobs lol.

      • Well~, like I mentioned before in the story… most of those people who lived there, weren’t exactly welcome in the borderlands anymore. Also, she’s a ‘Chaotic’ Calico Cat-Tribe now… so it would be kinda hard for her to go anywhere to sell things lol. Even her own people would treat her like a demon or monster rofl.

  3. The main purpose for allowing those people to live in his territory, definitely isn’t for voyeurism… right? Hmmm~, I guess I’m the only one who questions the MC sometimes? Oh wait, I’m the author, so shouldn’t I know these things already? lol
