Chapter 134: Evolutionary Experimentation

The two-meter tall High-Elven man, wearing a bloodied and torn-up dress-suit, appeared beside Michael as he yelled “Oi, Talia! When you’re done fuckin around in there, go clean up your grandpa’s hands from the Library! Also, I forgot to remove the two sets of shackles!”

Then he dropped the confused and crying child out of his inventory and turned to Andre, ‘politely’ saying “Take this brat and get the fuck outta my territory… That annoying cunt is near the bottom of the waterfall. Ugh, even if she can’t technically ‘attack’ inside, she’s definitely creating some kinda stormcloud of pointlessness. Just go out the front door and you’ll see what I mean. You’re a Resident, so if ya feel like dropping by sometime to visit Talia, you’ll be able to enter or leave whenever ya want.”

Without sparing another second to deal with the two of them, he ‘Astral-Stepped’ into the Arcane Prison upstairs. At some point in time, the orb had stopped recharging and sucked the level-two Human Skeleton inside. Thus, it was randomly floating around, near the center of the colossal room.

Michael felt that there was probably some small amount of gravity there, though it was incredibly low. The souls however, tended to stay scattered around the room and rarely approached each-other.

He muttered “Okay~, time to release the ‘prisoners’ huh?” as eight wisps flew out of his forehead. After all of them were a suitable distance away, the Nephilim teleported next to the skeleton and shouted “Alright! Who want’s ta be resurrected this time?! There’s only one spot! The first bastard to last three minutes will be the winner! Hell, I’ll even throw in this rank-F, level-ten, Elite, lizardman’s mana-core!”

As soon as his aura spread throughout the room, thousands of souls began flying frantically towards the undead golem. Strangely enough, even those ‘new-arrivals’ participated, and desperately wanted to be ‘reborn.’

Towards the end, Michael started counting down “Three… two… one… Okay~, time’s up motherfuckers!” and promptly forced all of the ghosts into sleep-mode. He started laughing hysterically, as he shoved the winning wisp into the skeleton’s mana-core.

“Summoner Level 3: Capable of absorbing the souls of the dead, and can temporarily store them within their own mana-core. Able to place those souls into new, rank-F vessels, under level-ten. All Passives and Spells will be lost and no stats may be carried over from their previous form” Michael’s Profession managed to level-up and his capabilities increased significantly.

He shoved the fiery-red bead into the skeleton’s mouth, “Hahahaha~! Congratulations Cunty! I can’t believe that there was actually someone with a name like that…”

As it floated in the air, the confused undead began transforming at a rapid pace. The skull morphed until it was closer to that of a raptor, than a Human. Then there were the leg bones that were similarly altered to become more like the man that the mana-core came from. A rather extravagant skeletal tail erupted from the end of the spine, and large claws began growing from the creature’s fingertips.

After that, a familiar message appeared: “You have evolved Cunty into a Rank-F, Lizard-Tribe Skeleton. Stats have increased: +7 Aura, +2 Strength, +2 Vitality, +2 Endurance.”

Michael stared at the relatively short undead, “Ah, what the hell! I might as well use you as a test-subject anyway! Hahahaha~! Congratu-fucking-lations Cunty! Now eat this!” A pitch-black bead appeared in his hand, and was immediately forced into the bewildered skeleton’s mouth.

When a person, animal, monster, magical-beast or other type of creature evolves by digesting a mana-core with more than one Element, there are typically two possible results. Either they obtain one of the Affinities, or they acquire all of them. Of course, in the end, it’s all up to ‘Luck’ or perhaps Arcana’s whim, to decide what actually happens.

After a few seconds, the transformation began, and it was quite dramatic. The Nephilim had to teleport away, because the bones were rapidly expanding at an astonishing pace. He wasn’t too worried about receiving damage if they exploded, but he was afraid that the evolutionary process could be disrupted if he was too close.

As he witnessed that monster being created, Michael wondered “Is it because of the nearly nonexistent gravity? That giant Boss raptor was only about the size of a t-rex… but this guy, holy shitballs! No-no-no, wait a second, this has to be some kinda glitch, right?! Huh, or maybe, yup, this is definitely ‘Her’ fault.”

It didn’t stop at just twenty-feet tall, it continued growing until it was at least one-hundred meters and it even grew another pair of bony arms. However, the general shape still remained that of a humanoid lizardman’s skeleton.

Once it finally stopped becoming larger, there was another ‘odd’ change: It began growing skin and scales. Similar to how when Talia was resurrected by the Player-Home, it couldn’t just start growing the internal organs and muscles first.

After the vocal cords, lungs, and throat had grown in, the beast began roaring “Grah~! So~, hungry~! Ragh~! It-it hurts~!? Argh~! What is this place?! Who am I?! Ah~! Food! Need, to, eat!”

Regardless of how much it struggled and thrashed around with it’s four arms, gigantic tail and huge legs, the monster was unable to do much more than spin. It only had two eyes, but the left was pitch-black, while the right was bright-red.

There were no breasts, but at the same time, it also lacked any discernible male genitalia. Michael muttered “I guess it’s more lizard than man or woman… Hell, it could be neither or both for all I know. Hmmm~, is it even undead anymore?”

“You have evolved Cunty into a Rank-E, Demonic Ultrasaurus-Tribe. Stats have increased: +17 Aura, +9 Strength, +5 Vitality, +5 Endurance, +5 Agility, +2 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence, -1 Wisdom.” Since magical-beasts typically had much higher stats than humanoids, it made sense that the benefits from evolving with their mana-cores were significantly greater.

A Boss would have had much higher stats than normal creatures of the same rank as well, so the benefits were rather impressive. Unfortunately, there were also demerits, especially when gaining the Chaos Affinity.

The Nephilim snickered, before shouting “Shut the fuck up, you noisy bastard!” while activating ‘Intimidation’ and ‘terrifying’ the colossal monster with ease. Even if it had relatively high stats, it was all completely meaningless if the Willpower and level were both so low. After that he teleported next to the spinning monster and immediately shoved it into his first prison-slot.

Once his mana quickly recovered, Michael teleported out of the Arcane Prison, directly outside. There was a thunderstorm still raging, but the Grand Matriarch, her son, and the HIgh-Priest had already left. They were obviously worried about the impending doom that was about to befall their homeland, and didn’t have time to pester the Nephilim who ‘rescued’ them.

After about a minute of pacing around, he Astral-Stepped outside of not-only his territory, but all the way to Carrabelle Plains. Even though the giant monster he had just created was technically a Resident, there simply wasn’t enough space for him to move around properly.

He equipped and activated all of his ‘gear’ before teleporting, and when he arrived, he even cast all three of his buffs: though he needed to wait a while for his mana to regenerate. As the potent aura of light radiated from the angelic man, all the dead plants that were tainted by Darkness, began to slowly disintegrate.

However, the crops that were merely withered, began flourishing and rapidly recovering. Even if it wasn’t intentional, everywhere he walked, a rather large swath of green was beginning to replace the brown and black.

Michael suddenly stopped and raised both arms towards the Full Moon, “Muhuahahahahaha~! I summon thee! Big-ass motherfucking Cunty~!” As soon as he finished speaking, a one-hundred meter tall colossal monstrosity was released upon the world… and it immediately began floating up into the sky like a massive hot-air balloon.

    • Monsters don’t follow that rule, they follow the same rules as magical beasts… which is basically that they can evolve from rankless to rank-SSS at level-0, assuming that they have someone feeding them mana-cores.

  2. Cunty…was not expecting that.

Just wondering, is this series in anyway related to Immortal Soul? I mean, both MCs share the same name but considering your username is Mike777ac, it’s not enough for me to draw any real conclusions.

Argh, can’t wait for Alice to wake up and for her to experience the trauma that is Michael when he forces her to start leveling. She’ll probably still be huge relative to the size of their party. Hopefully their entire party participates in the next battlegrounds.

    Thanks for the chapters!

  3. Now that the experiment has started, I am wondering what would happen if a humanoid magic gem was used on an unranked animal, for example a fox.
Will the fox transform into an anthropomorphic fox.

    Cunty… seriously?
