TDoE V3, Chapter 30

Now, ignoring the two idiots, I’ll tell you ‘my’ impression of the three planets, moons, whatever.  From what I could see, each of them were big and small depending on the time of the month.  Thoth usually just looked like ‘Luna’, Earth’s Moon from my original world.  It was silver and that was about it.  Well, there was also the frigid Yin Qi that the silvery moonlight somehow managed to carry.

Khonsu had vibrant blue oceans and bright-red continents.  The strongest impression I got from it though was ‘Chaos’.  The light that reflected off the planet, or moon, which managed to reach all the way to Genesis was filled with a potent ‘Chaotic’ Qi.  Not only that, but the continents were constantly moving and shifting around.  Over the course of one night, it was possible to see enormous masses of land being devoured by the rapidly moving tides.  When Khonsu happens to be the closest to Genesis, it’s possible for even a Novice to see the absurdly large mountains ‘moving’.  Well, I had no idea what they actually were at the time, so mountains seemed to be the most logical conclusion.

Finally, there was my favorite: Iah!  If you’re wondering why, it’s because of the rich and delicious Nature Qi that bombarded me during the nights of Iah.  It looked kind of like Earth too, so there was a bit of nostalgia.  The entire thing was pretty big though, even when it was the farthest away, it still took up most of the sky.

When I said it ‘looked’ like Earth, I meant that there were a bunch of different colors and climates that were easily visible.  Iah was most commonly known as ‘The Eye of Ra’… It always faced Genesis in the same exact way and it was literally shaped like an eye.

At the very center was a small and perfectly round dark-blue ocean, the Pupil of Iah.  Then there was a ring of incredibly thick jungles and forests, which went on for a while.  After that was another ring of plains, rivers, mountains and even a few deserts.  Eventually though, it was just ice for the majority of what could be seen.  There were even red ‘capillaries’ that were essentially volcano chains that were erupting within the frozen tundra.

As I was gazing up at Iah and trying to tune out the two bickering elementals, I unconsciously opened my left eyelid.  It was dark and blurry, but I was still surprised that I could actually see.  Well, for a moment, I thought that I was just hallucinating, so I used my left index finger to ‘check’.

“Ow~!  Holy shitballs!  My eye grew back!” After yelling that, I turned around and faced Granny Arin.

She squinted at me and then asked “Do you have some kinda Jellyfish Bloodline Kid?  I’ve seen those guys regrow all kinds of shit… Are you feeling better though?  It looks like the Yin Corruption is almost completely gone now.”

I shrugged, “Who knows?  When Hua Jiang did a weird blood-scan test thing, she said that I had Bloodline that she couldn’t recognize… So probably not something as simple as Jellyfish?  Anyway, I am feeling a hell of a lot better than before.  It’s most likely ‘cause it’s an Iah night and we’re far enough away from Silver Moon Island.  By the way, do we actually have a destination?  Or maybe we can launch some sort of magical flare into the sky and let somebody know to come and pick us up?”

Granny Arin snickered, retorting “Brat, do you really think it’s a good idea to attract attention to ourselves?  More than likely, no one will even notice in the first place, but even if they did… There’s a much greater chance that the ones who find us will be invaders or pirates.  No, even if it was a navy within the Southern Islands, they wouldn’t ‘rescue’ us for free.  We’ve been going southwest for a while now… The Titanic Fury was headed towards the Li Clan in order to reinforce them there, so our main priority is the make our way over and reunite with our ship and crew.”

After hearing that, I couldn’t help but complain “Isn’t that six-hundred miles away from here?  How the hell is this little piece of shit supposed to make it that far?  It would take us years to get there at this rate…”

She sighed dramatically, grumbling “Don’t remind me… Although we’re too far to make it using a tiny boat like this… Well, there are plenty of ships in the sea, hehehe~!”

I smirked, “It’s a gamble no matter what we do, so we might as well take the risk.  Well, regardless, we’re gonna be out here on this tiny piece of shit for a while.  Do you guys have any of that wolf-meat left?  I’m starving and dehydrated.”

The two fuckers behind her suddenly stopped rocking the boat, and the Ginger Giant let out a loud grunt.  Liara released a deafening scream and then they both turned around to face the two of us.  While Johan seemed really drained and tired, Gangbang-Girl was literally glowing with Yang Qi.  Her brown skin lightened a bit and her normally white hair, turned blonde for a moment.

After they put away their junk, the two of them moved closer to the sail, though there wasn’t really enough room for them to sit next to Granny Arin.  The old woman chuckled, then reached into a backpack by her left leg.  She quickly pulled out a twenty-ounce glass bottle that was filled with Rank-G Green Tea and tossed it over to me.

“Thanks!” I caught the heavy bottle and quickly unscrewed the cap, before guzzling down as much as physically possible.  The Nature Qi within the tea was pretty potent and it probably would have been considered a life-saving treasure to a Novice, but as an Apprentice, it was merely a tasty beverage.

The two fuckbuddies washed their hands off in the ocean a bit and then started taking out the wolf-meat, seasonings and sauces.  Ironically, there was a huge wok that was left behind by the previous owners of our little skiff.  Not sure what happened to them, but there weren’t any corpses for us to remove when we came aboard.  Well, it didn’t really matter anyway.

Magic is awesome.  Granny Arin didn’t even use a fire to cook the food.  She placed her hands above the pan and started chanting a spell.  Then she began emitting a golden light, which was extremely hot.  Within two minutes, the thick and juicy Rank-F Silverwolf steaks were releasing plenty of steam.

Obviously it wasn’t a combat-related technique, but it was still pretty damn impressive to me.  Liara and Johan put teriyaki sauce, some kind of chili powder and other spices that I didn’t really recognize onto the food while she was cooking it.

By the time that they were done, Mei moaned and lazily struggled to get up off the bench she had been sleeping on.  Then she forcefully stretched her arms out and yawned loudly, asking “Ah~, Levi~, are you feeling better now?”

After hugging me tightly, she pushed me away and furrowed her brows, while squinting and scrunching up her tiny nose.  Then she gasped and yelled “Your eye grew back!”

I smiled and then pressed my lips against hers, it devolved into some tongue-wrestling and mild-fondling, but the two of us were hungrier than we were horny.  Thus, the five of us started eating the first meal of our epic journey!
