“No, I… I actually feel fine now.” Oliver took off his mask and coughed a few times, shaking his head, “Nope, that was a bad idea.”

“Ollie!”

“I’m really okay… It doesn’t really hurt or burn anymore. The air is just super dusty and there isn’t enough oxygen down here. We need to vent the place out later.”

Oliver suddenly got rid of his old mask and replaced it with a new one. It still protected his entire face, but instead of filtering the outside air, it was connected by a tube to a large air tank on his back. Not pure oxygen, just compressed ‘air’ from the outside world.

“I feel different now. I think…”

After pulling down the neck of his dusty gray shirt, he turned to Jade and asked, “Am I Rank 5 now?”

“Wow! Ollie! It changed! Your Words Changed!”

“Really?! Awesome, hahahaha~! It’s probably ‘cause we found this huge lode!”

“It says… You rainy, you rainy um?”

“Spell it out!”

Jade rolled her glowing green eyes and ripped a big flat gray stone from the ground where the two of them were standing. Then she engraved ‘Uranium Miner V’ onto the slate and held it up in front of his face.

“Uranium? What the hell is Uranium? Is that another name for Greenstone? Doesn’t that mean I’m a Miner specializing in Greenstone?”

“Is that good or bad?”

“I don’t know.” Oliver shook his head and sighed, his voice was muffled a lot more after using the air tank.

“Oh no! Ollie! You’re Rank 5 now!”

“Yeah…” He nodded calmly, looking over at her wrist and snickering, “So are you.”

“What?! How?! Why?!” Jade looked at her wrist and was even more confused, “Stone? Just Stone V? What does that mean?”

“It’s not really that surprising.” Oliver shrugged and pulled up his dusty shirt again, “You’re practically some kinda Stone Wizard by now. You can even fly as long as you’re underground. Aside from looking like a statue, you didn’t really do anything with the ‘Statue’ part of your Curse.”

“I guess that’s true.” Jade floated up into the air as she spoke, then she flew around while giggling happily, “It’s a lot easier now!”

“Yeah.” He also noticed something else, “Just make sure to wear some panties when you go flying around in front of other people!”

“Ollie! I’m not a pervert!” She quickly floated down in front of him with her hands pushing her dress down, but it was quickly scorched black from the heat of her hands!

“Look what you made me do!”

“Is that why you can’t wear panties?” 

“I can, I just don’t feel like it!”

Oliver snickered and shook his head, “But now… Now what should we do? We’re both ‘Wild Vs’, does that mean we’ll get in trouble if we go to register now?”

“I don’t know! We should ask Klein… He probably knows?”

*Boom~!* With a deafening noise, the whole cavern shook violently and huge pieces of glowing crystal fell from the ceiling! 

“Aaah!” Jade screamed and quickly reached up to divert the huge rocks away from them! 

“What the hell?!” Oliver also ripped off that burnt green dress and conjured up a hardhat, gas mask and full mining outfit for Jade. She couldn’t wear gloves or shoes, but everything else was pretty much covered.

“Yeeehaaaw~! We hit the mother lode! Yaaaahaaaahaaah~!”

“Woooo~ yeah~! We’re rich~! Hahahaha~!”

“Hey, what the hell?! Claim Jumpers!”

After the two men shouted, there was a raspy feminine voice and three bright ‘headlights’ were shining towards Jade and Oliver. The two of them also had their flashlights on, so they were also somewhat blinding those three short figures in the distance. The cavern was about a hundred meters wide, but it wasn’t perfectly round or even. The group of three newcomers didn’t rush into the open space full of glowing green crystals and potentially dangerous fumes, they just stood in the small opening in the wall.

“You crazy bastards almost killed us!” Oliver shouted in a muffled voice from behind the mask as he walked over towards the hole, “This is ‘our’ land and ‘our’ mine! Get the hell outta here!”

“Bullshit! This is Greenstone Mining Company property!” 

“This is our mine! Screw off, Claim Jumpers!”

“Get the hell outta here, you tall bastards!”

The tallest man among the three was actually only about 150 cm, the woman was 140 cm and the other man on the side was about 145 cm. All three of them were obviously ‘Dwarven Miners’, a very common Word Change, but they obviously weren’t from one of the small villages on the mountainside.

“This is Verde Village land!” Jade retorted angrily, “Your company doesn’t own ‘our’ mine!”

“It’s ‘our’ mine, Bitch!” The short and stocky woman held a stick of dynamite in her right hand, “Now get the hell outta here before you have a ‘mining accident’!”

“Hahahaha!” Oliver conjured up a stick of dynamite in his left hand with a mining pick in the right, “Let’s see who lives and who dies!”

“Put down the dynamite, Kid, or your girlfriend gets it!” The taller and bulkier Dwarf in the middle pulled out a big bronze blunderbuss from thin air, aiming at the tall and skinny woman. His green eyes glowed fiercely behind his mask. In fact, all three of them had green eyes and red hair, with the men having long braided beards. Though it obviously interfered with the seals on their gas masks.

“Girly, don’t do anything stupid!” The shorter man conjured up a flintlock musket and aimed it at Oliver’s head, “This mine is ours now, got it?!”

“Ollie…” Jade trembled and looked over anxiously, “What should I do?!”

“Do whatever you gotta do.” Oliver snickered and a big steel mining cart appeared in front of his body!
