“I’m Krowly the Legendary Entomologist! Not some shitty Anthropologist!”

Jade widened her glowing eyes in horror as she watched the headless body fall to the floor. Peridot and Oliver were also in shock. Just like that, one of their best friends from childhood was just… Gone.

“Bastard!” Oliver roared and charged over recklessly with a pick in his hand, but the humanoid ant’s real body was much more dangerous than those throw-away avatars. His arms transformed and became covered in carapace, with two extra arms growing under the top ones. There were also several huge centipedes that erupted from his back.

“Ollie! Damn it! Be careful!” Peridot screamed as she watched the tall and muscular man being sent flying by a light punch from one of those tiny fists!

“He didn’t have to die! None of you had to die!” Krowly appeared in front of Jade and punched a hole straight through her skinny waist! Revealing the blindingly bright green crystals glowing in her abdomen…

“Ah!”

“Jade!” Oliver got up and saw those molten arms clashing against those giant centipedes. Although the bugs were incinerated, her arms were also ripped off easily. She stumbled backwards and her feet melted away completely. The green dress was also melted in a lot of places, fusing to her flesh.

“It’s such a waste! It’s all your fault!” Those shiny black compound eyes glared at Peridot, “Why did you have to get them involved?!”

“What the hell are you talking about?!” Oliver roared as he charged over with a pickaxe in each hand! One of them was easily blocked, but the other actually scraped that ant-like head and pierced down into that skinny right shoulder. The whole upper arm was directly severed.

“Gah~!” Krowly let out a shrill scream and plunged his lower-left claw into the bloody wound on Oliver’s belly, but his fingers were broken and mangled. Those intestines were covered by Uranium to keep them from falling out, not to mention the other organs and his spine.

“Crazy bastard!”

“You’re calling ‘me’ crazy?! Maybe I am! But I don’t wanna hear that shit from a monster like you!” Oliver swung the two pickaxes around violently, leaving some nicks and chips on that powerful black armor. However, a new arm grew out where the last one was severed. All those injuries were also quickly replaced by tiny bugs that fused into Krowly’s flesh.

“Peri! Run! Run away!” Jade screamed desperately as she watched the huge space getting brighter by the moment! Whether it was Oliver or her own body, that terrifying ‘light’ was radiating with both of them as the source! She could barely even see anything but ‘green’ anymore!

“Where can I run?! Didn’t you hear him?! They came for ‘me’! Shit! Shit! Damn it!”

“Just because of a stupid radio?!” Oliver shouted angrily and used his uranium-plated right boot to kick the short Entomologist flying across the room. He smashed into a stone pillar and left an indentation, but his body wasn’t injured very badly.

“A government-issued Spy radio! Which she stole! From a Spy!” Krowly pushed off the crumbling side of the stone pillar and hopped down lightly, seemingly uninjured.

“I was originally sent here on a recruitment mission… Two wild Sixes, no matter what department or organization, you little brats would be popular! But now look at what happened! An Agent is dead! You let those two idiots go! Now they’re gonna tell the news to that Plague Doctor and Merchant! Maybe they didn’t see me or understand what happened, but just to be on the safe side, I’m gonna have to purge the whole village!”

“You ain’t gonna do shit!” Oliver conjured a big gray pipe, shoved a stick of dynamite in one side and sealed it shut after lighting the fuse with some molten stone on the ground.

“What? Are you trying to make a pipe bomb?” Krowly laughed as he sent out a swarm of click beetles from his regrown upper right hand, “Come on! Hahaha!”

“Dumbass!” Oliver laughed and avoided the swarm that were exploding like little firecrackers all around him. Then he threw that pipe like a javelin! Even though it was extremely fast, the Entomologist just casually moved his ant-head to the side. The pipe was plunged half a meter into the stone pillar and got stuck.

“That’s it?! Hahaha~!”

*Boom~!* There was a deafening blast, which destroyed the pillar and made a few big chunks of stone fall from the ceiling.

“Aaah~!” A horrific scream came from the ant-like mouth as Krowly rolled around on the ground in agony! There were hundreds of tiny pieces of uranium shrapnel that tore through his back, legs and arms, even the back of his head was missing a few large chunks. Lots of tiny bugs were quickly filled in the holes, but that swarm of click beetles completely lost control and started exploding randomly. Filling the hot air with even more smoke and dust than before!

“Ollie!” Peridot rushed over and held the huge man in her skinny arms, “Hold on! Don’t die, please, please don’t die!”

Oliver coughed up blood for real this time, because a few pieces of metal and stone shrapnel actually pierced through his chest on the right side. His shirt was broken so badly that it completely vanished a while ago, just like his pants. Only his boxers were still barely intact.

“Kill… Him… Peri, don’t… Don’t let him… Escape…”

“How?! How the hell am I supposed to kill that monster?!” She retorted while crying, then reached out and crushed a few wasps to death that were trying to sting them.

“You… Can’t! Ha-hah~! *Cough~!* Don’t… Underestimate a Legend!” Krowly stood up and wobbled a few times, then vomited a bunch of bloody bile out onto the floor. Coughing a few times violently. Even though he looked like an insect on the outside, he ultimately still had lungs and needed to breathe like a normal human. No matter how hard he tried to repair his body with countless insects, they kept dying rapidly. Big layers of ‘skin’ and ‘carapace’ made from black bugs kept falling off. He conjured new ones, but they just died within a few seconds!

“I’m sorry… Peri… I love… You…” Oliver used the last of his strength to create a few sticks of dynamite wrapped together, then covered it all in a thin layer of uranium plating. Except for the fuse, which he lit with a simple phosphorus-tip match.

“Damn it… We’re not gonna die! I refuse to die a virgin!” Peridot kissed his bloody lips, took the bomb and disappeared! Then she emerged from the shadows behind Krowly’s back and shoved the bomb into the huge gaping hole in his waist! Before he could turn around and fight back, the disheveled woman vanished again!

*Bang~!* The powerful body was blasted into countless tiny pieces! Although many of the insects tried to come back together to reform… They started dying rapidly and many just disappeared into thin air. In the end, there were only small chunks of scorched meat and boiling red human blood left behind.

*Rumble~!* Unfortunately, the blast was so powerful and violent that some of the nearby pillars were destroyed. There was a huge pit in the ground and the ceiling also started collapsing in a few areas. Jade’s unconscious ‘body’ was buried under a bunch of rubble, while Oliver was grabbed by Peridot and pulled to hide inside a durable storage room nearby.

“Ollie… Please… Ollie! No… No, this can’t be real! Shit! Ollie! Asshole! Wake up! Wake up! Aaaah~!”
