I was gonna try to find some story I forgot to post and dump a bunch of chapters but honestly, I think I already ran out of stuff that isn’t fanfiction lol.
Anyway, it’s another year and another birthday for me. I think I also created this site around this time of year? I can’t remember.
Just wanted to say that I didn’t die or retire, just… got a real job back during the summer. First I was working at a Starbucks Kiosk, but then they moved me to Bagging at the grocery store where I work. At first they only gave me like 8 hrs a week as a Bagger, but it got progressively more until now days they’re giving me like 30+ hours a week and idfk if my body can handle it lol.
I mean, I’m definitely way stronger and have a lot more endurance than before, but this cold weather is insane. The snow is annoying. Pushing shopping carts endlessly is driving me a little crazy. And my hands are falling apart lately from washing them too many times, the heaters in the house and probably also from wearing gloves. I know that gloves definitely cause a lot of friction that doesn’t help.
Anyway, even at minimum wage I’m making more now as a Bagger at a Grocery Store in a week than I used to make in a month of writing 120 hrs a week lol.
Somehow writing was becoming more exhausting than pushing shopping carts for 4-7 hours a day? Plus, when my father was dying and eventually died, I think it broke something in me. I didn’t write for a whole two weeks. Was kinda weird. And then afterwards I had trouble going back to stories I wrote back then. Probably a trauma response or some kinda mental block bullshit, who knows?
Moral of the story is that it’s my birthday and I don’t wanna eat some random nonsense around the house. It’s also like 52 degrees outside, which might as well be summer weather compared to what I’m used to… Already got my t-shirt and shorts on. Gonna go out and eat something expensive-ish with my mother.
Happy Valentine’s Day again and I hope everyone is enjoying themselves today. Or at least trying.
Love you, thanks for reading 🙂
