TDoE V3, Chapter 23

First of all, guns aren’t cheating.  Especially not when you need to spend Qi in order to use them.  Having Dark-Violent Innate Talent ‘is’ cheating though, ‘cause the upkeep for using Rank-F Items was practically nothing for me.

People tend to forget this kind of stuff, but both bows and firearms are practically useless without their ammunition.  A sword or spear on the other hand, doesn’t need to be reloaded.  Try to keep in mind that all weapons are tools that serve a purpose in ‘specific’ situations.  You won’t use a screwdriver to hammer a nail, right?  Well, maybe if you didn’t have anything better to use, but that’s beside the point.

The level of Qi doesn’t directly correlate to how physically strong a person or creature is… For example, even an Unranked Elephant would be able to crush an Apprentice to death rather easily.  It was pretty much the same thing for Humans as well.  Besides, there were other factors too.

Okay, this entire rant is basically just me trying to justify using dirty tricks in order to kill people.  It’s not like I was the only person who could ‘beat’ someone that was above my Stage.  If a Master was weakened enough, even a Novice could finish them off.

I guess the moral of the story is that you should always be careful, no matter how strong you are and never become arrogant.  Pride always ejaculates before a fall, or something like that.

The moment that Rong Li Xia took up a defensive stance, I jumped to the left and rolled across the floor.  Then I got up and was already sprinting towards a small tunnel while shouting “Fire!”  Eight loud ‘pops’ happened at nearly the same exact time, bombarding the bitch from basically every angle.  I managed to dive into the tunnel and hide behind a rock beforehand, but a ricochet nearly made me lose my only remaining eye.

“Holy shitfuck, how the hell is this cunt still alive?!  Just die already!” When I got up to look at the aftermath, I saw a bloodsoaked, totally enraged, double amputee charging towards me.  She totally ignored the stump on her right hand, her left eye was obliterated, there was a BB imbedded into her forehead and her right hand was dangling by a thin thread of meat.  That formerly perfect pair of giant tities were totally wrecked; the right one was missing, while the left was full of holes.  I could clearly see the yellow fat, even through all the crimson boobie-juice.

Yeah, her robe was in tatters, but the skin underneath was ‘mostly’ intact.  Then I noticed that the extradimensional pouch she had kept around her left hip had actually exploded.  There were Fire, Water and Yin Stone shards jutting out of her pelvis.

“Kill~!  Kill~!  Kill~!” That was all she could say at that point and judging by the way she looked, I wasn’t very surprised.  Even an Adept would suffer from lots of negative side-effect when losing that much blood and being so severely injured.  If she had any life-saving treasures or magical healing potions, they were either destroyed or launched off the cliff.

I held up my relatively large obsidian revolver with both of my tiny hands and aimed from eye-level.  Even in her frenzy, she still managed to use that fucking rapier to deflect the bullet that was about to hit her in the face.  That was fifty meters away, the second shot was only a moment later, but she was only thirty feet from me.  The projectile almost hit her right eye, but she quickly moved her head to the left a bit and dodged.

Then she was right in front of me and screaming “Die~!” in an especially hoarse voice.  However, she was basically out of Qi to the point where her level was on the verge of dropping.  Also, she could barely even muster the strength of a peak-level Apprentice.  I used the barrel of my pistol to parry her sword to the right, then lunged forward, rolling between her legs.

*Bang* Don’t judge me too harshly, but I kind of shot her in the pussy from point-blank range.  Well, she was wearing black underwear that managed to reduce the damage a bit… Still, she let out a blood-curtling “Gyaaah~!” as she fell forward and tumbled across the ground, smacking into a stalagmite.  The rock was shattered apart and I did shoot her in the back of her left thigh, though she didn’t even react to it.

Rong Li Xia’s formerly blonde hair was totally soaked drenched in her own crimson juices and covering most of her upper body, as she slowly crawled towards me.  That rapier was still in her left hand, and managed to jump up, every time I fired off a shot.  When I had one bullet left and she was two-feet away, she growled “Kill you… I’m going to kill you~!  Grah~!”

“Oh for fuck’s sake, why are you still alive?!  Just give up already!” I kicked the side of the sword with my right foot and kneed her in the face with my left.  Then I grabbed her throat with my left hand and jammed the barrel of my revolver into her right eye.  She screamed in pain, but the ocular organ didn’t get damaged like I thought it would.  Well, when I pulled the trigger, a bunch of nasty black, red and white juices splashed up onto my face.  For a moment, I thought that she was actually dead…

A clawlike hand plunged into my right side and those fingers started to squeeze my Dantian tightly.  Just imagine placing your testicles or clitoris into a vice and having it slowly get tighter by the second.  It was actually very similar to when I broke-through into the Apprentice Stage, except worse, because I knew that I would be crippled or die if it continued.

Was I afraid?  Fuck yeah I was!  Who doesn’t get scared when there’s a chance they might die or be permanently disabled?!  Fortunately, I was a Shaman and had an insanely furious Demonic Thunder Spirit raging around inside of my gut.  The voltage was getting so high that it felt like my whole abdomen was going to burst into flames.  Then it actually did!

Thousands of bright-red cockroaches erupted from my belly-button and the hole in my side, frantically attacking that cunt’s left arm.  Combined with the electrical damage, it didn’t take long before her entire arm was charred black and totally useless.  I clenched my teeth as I carefully removed it from my torso, grumbling “You’re really starting to piss me off… Can you please just die now?  Even if you survive, what’s the point?  There’s no way you’ll be able to be an Expert now and you’ll be lucky if you can even stay alive for a few more years with those injuries, so go… Death isn’t so bad.  You can reincarnate and start over again.  Next time you’ll probably have better Innate Talent, and hopefully you’ll be born sometime after this chaotic era has passed…”

I grabbed her head and turned it to the side, while pressing the barrel against her right temple.  After pulling the trigger, I made sure that the bullet passed all the way through the other side.  Then I shot her in the throat as well.  The bullet didn’t come out the back of her neck, but it was good enough.  I sighed dramatically, sitting on the ground to her left and panting from exhaustion.

Not only did Xiaotong use up all of her available Qi, even Legion was tuckered out.  There was barely any clothing left on her body and even the jewelry was wrecked, so I couldn’t really find anything to loot from her corpse.  As for that rapier… All the Inscriptions and Enchantments were wrecked.  The sword was basically useless, aside from the materials that were used to create it.

After basically guzzling the rest of my magical jellyfish juice, I walked over to the sword and picked it up.  However, I didn’t leave yet.  This is one of my most important rules, something that I have always done and will always do.  If you fight to the death with someone, make sure that they’re fucking dead!

Not only did I destroy a decent amount of her brainmatter, but I also plunged her own rapier into her heart, nailing her to the stone floor.  Then I checked her pulse and waited until it totally stopped, before finally leaving.  By all human standards that I knew of, she was definitely, one-hundred percent dead.
