“How the hell did we sleep through that?!”

In the end, Jade started to regret revealing her abilities for a few days. However, that was it. After all, it really didn’t take her too long after ‘work’ every day to deal with some minor damage to the house where she lived. Unlike Oliver who couldn’t care less, both Peridot and Jade were a lot more attentive to the state of their home.

“You smell like cigarettes. You go back to your uncle’s place today?”

“Yeah, sorry… I know you hate the smell.”

“It’ll wash out.”

“I think I figured it out now, Oliver.”

“If you can conjure these expensive batteries, lights, wires and tools, then why can’t you just sell them?”

Instead of heading north to the main mine tunnel for the village, Oliver actually brought Jade over to the woods outside his backyard. He wasn’t wearing his mask or helmet yet and didn’t even bring any tools with him. 

After everyone in the village said farewell to Grandpa Greenstone in their own ways, they went home to rest up for work tomorrow. They didn’t live in the busy towns and cities, so most people in the village never had any strict work schedule. Klein had to leave the party early because one of the women in the village went into labor. As the only real ‘Doctor’, he was basically on call 24/7 for various emergencies. As his apprentice, Ivy had to go help out.
