Chapterfest, New Stories and Some Patreon Event

As the title suggests, I’m going to be releasing a decent amount of chapters today. Patreon is doing some kind of special event today, so I figured… Why not? Except I’m not really sure what I was supposed to do because I didn’t read the whole message they sent me lol.

However, the main thing is that I want to thank everyone who donated to me over the years. Not just through Patreon, but also through Paypal and well, just reading my stories without Adblock enabled :P. Though I barely get anything from ad revenue so it doesn’t really matter that much.

I also want to thank everyone who reads my stories on Tapas, because… Obvious reasons lol.

Anyway, there are two new stories that I started working on recently. I know, I should be focusing on Immortal Soul or one of the many other stories that I haven’t worked on in a while. But inspiration strikes when you least expect it. And it’s more productive to write down the new stuff, than ignore it.

The first story is called “Apocalypse Shop” and it’s kinda something that I’ve wanted to do for a while. To be honest, the original concept of the ‘Kitsune’ was something similar to that. But they go a bit farther than just being superpower merchants. Since they actually try to save people or ‘fix’ worlds before they completely collapse.

The second story is called “Solo Dual Cultivation“… In some ways, this story is practically porn. There’s a ton of vulgarity, sexual content and lots of weirdly descriptive bodily functions. If you know what Dual Cultivation is in the context of Xianxia, then you can probably understand the title. If not, you’ll figure it out by reading the first chapter or two. As far as the actual ‘cultivation’ goes though, don’t expect to see a bunch of literal action within the early stages of the story. Sexual action though…

Although it’s practically a teaser, I will release the tiny prologue of “OP-ness Returns“. I don’t wanna pull a Blizzard and have everyone freaking out because I’m working on a Mobile Diablo game that almost no one actually wants, while not even releasing a teaser for Diablo 4 lol. Seriously though, will Diablo 4 ever come out? Hell, I’m still waiting for Warcraft 4… Warcraft 3 Reforged probably won’t be released for another 6 months or so lol.

Lately I’ve been mildly addicted to HOTS. I never really liked MOABAs before, but HOTS just feels different to me lol. Probably all the leveling up of heroes and the loot boxes, though I heard that LoL is also doing something like that? Haven’t played LoL since like… 2012? It’s been a while.

On the other hand, I also tried to play Overwatch a few times. But I’m just bad at aiming. I mean, when I play Junkrat, I can do really well. Reinhardt is also pretty simple to play, since you just use your big ass shield most of the time, while occasionally killing squishies with that ranged ability or ramming  them into walls.

I thought the problem was that I couldn’t aim down the sights as most characters, but Ashe can… And I’m still bad lol. On the other hand, in Battlefield 1, I’m pretty good at sniping people? Maybe it’s because you can actually hide in that game, instead of glowing red for the other team to easily see you?

Anyway, enough of that nonsense, I’m gonna get back to writing, editing and posting shit lol.

I really don’t say this enough, but thank you.  To everyone who donates through Paypal and Patreon, thank you the most.  You’re literally the only reason that I can continue to keep writing.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for you guys and/or girls out there donating, I wouldn’t be able to afford to keep writing.  I definitely would have stopped writing last year if it wasn’t for all of you out there who donated and supported me.

By the way, I know that a lot of translation sites have so-called ‘sponsored’ chapters.  Even a lot of writers have been doing that lately.  I never really did anything like that before and actually, I wouldn’t know how to do it lol.  What I mean is that I don’t know how to make that fancy ‘sponsored’ bar thingy that they have.  Otherwise I would totally make sponsored bars for the various stories… For example, I haven’t written a chapter of “Questing” or “Immortal Soul” in over a year.  However, if people sponsored a chapter of either, I would definitely stop writing “The Dao of Eros” in order to write a chapter of either of them.  Same thing with “The Vanilla God” and “Hardcore OP-ness”.

When I started the Donations and Patreon thing, I was only working on HCOP, that was it.  Plus, I was able to write a lot faster because I didn’t really need to think much about anything and just do whatever.  Then, towards the end of ‘Book 1’, I actually started working towards an ‘ending’ of sorts.  After it happened, I started working on ‘Book 2’ but… Well, to be completely honest, ‘Book 2’ is basically a different story lol.  What I mean is that, although it does indeed happened directly after the events of Book 1, “Noobaggedon” is going to be much closer to the first ‘Book’ in the way it’s written and the fact that it takes place in Arcana(Immediately after the events of the Epilogue).

I’ve basically just been writing wherever and whenever my inspiration takes me.  People who donate or pledge at least 10 dollars get access to a lot of stuff… For example, “Hardcore Legacies” is currently at 106 chapters, “The Vanilla God” is at chapter 9, and “The Dao of Eros” is at volume 3, chapter 23.

By the way, for everyone who Donated or Pledged, let me know if you want me to put your name on the ‘Donations’ page and make sure to tell me how much money you donated(if you want).  Honestly, aside from that very first guy who donated like 200 dollars, no one else has ever told me that they wanted their donation to be made public.

If someone could tell me how to do that whole sponsored bar thing, that’d be cool… Until then though, for those of you who have donated and have access, I’ve added a ‘suggestions’ doc for you guys to tell me what you want.

Also, I don’t think I’ve ever really talked about this before but, if you’re using my website without adblock on, thank you very much!  I don’t get much from ads, but it still adds up to something decent.  So if you want to support me, but can’t donate or pledge, just read my stories without adblock on.  I think that probably only a third of the people who view my site actually have adblock turned off.  1 view without adblock on, gives me like 2 ad impressions… I’m not totally sure how ad impressions work exactly, since they seem kinda random, but 100,000 of them is roughly 50-100 dollars?  Although, there was one month where I only got 15k and they gave me .38 cents, so who knows how they actually work?

Anyway, that’s pretty much everything I can think of at the moment… So don’t use adblock, donate if you want to help me survive and if you’re a donor or patron, you’ll have a say in what I actually write.  There are actually a decent amount of stories that I’ve never posted and are just sitting around, waiting to be written…

Also, this is kind of random, but I’ve wanted to try streaming before lol.  I’ve also wanted to try recording an audio book roflmao.  Can you imagine “Hardcore OP-ness” as an audio book?

I wish I knew someone like Meghan McCarthy to do Jasmine’s voice.  Unfortunately, no, I’m not good at imitating voices rofl.  Singing… kind of.  I have a pretty good vocal range when it comes to singing, but speaking, not so much.  Honestly, I always wanted Sarah to be British, but I don’t know how to write a British accent.  Not like high-class British though, or maybe Scottish would be better?  I can barely even understand Scottish accents though, so I definitely can’t ‘write’ them out phonetically lol.  Michael is from Baltimore, so he kind of talks like my father, where I don’t actually have an accent unless I intentionally try to have one?

Sigh, if I made one of these “Try Not To Laugh Challenge Videos” it would just be 10 minutes of me laughing hysterically and eventually asphyxiating myself to death lol.  I’m the type of person who laughs at everything though… Continue reading →

QQing About Poor-People Problems

The new chapter comes out in about forty-five minutes.  This is basically me just copy/pasting my Donations page into the form of a post.  If you want to know why… Well, because not many people even read it?

I honestly don’t expect anything from this, because out of ten thousand people, there would probably only be a handful of amazing and super-awesome people who are willing to sacrifice their hard-earned money, in order to help me out.  It’s not as if no-one donates, cause there certainly have been a few, and even a single dollar would be incredibly generous from my perspective :).

I’ve kept donations anonymous, because unless the person writes “Mention that I donated on the donation page.” and gives me a name that they want me to call them, I’d feel awkward announcing their actual name lmfao.  Also, if you do the whole Patreon thing, then you set up your own profile, and there isn’t really much for me to do?

I’m not a translator, so I don’t have an infinite supply of other people’s work that I can consistently pump out. Thus, I can’t really ‘speed-up’ my writing depending on how much money people throw at me. Well, I could certainly try, but the quality would drop by a lot.

On the other hand, the list of things that I can’t afford to fix or replace is growing daily: ten year old computer that barely works, broken desk-chair, broken bed, broken ice-machine in my freezer, ect. Basically, I don’t expect to receive enough money from this to pay for any of those things.

However, I’ve had this blog for a while now, and I figured that since everyone else has one, I wanted a donation button as well. It may not be particularly glamorous, but at least it exists now.
