Chapter 119: Evolution, the Smart Way

The reason that golems had no Luck or Willpower stat, was obviously because they were meant to be controlled. When someone with an Astral-Projection type of ability, entered inside and directly took-over the mindless body, their own Luck and Willpower would be carried over.

Otherwise, Michael would have never risked giving Alice that mana-core. She wasn’t particularly surprised by the screen that popped up before her eyes, since it was very similar to the effect of using ‘Identification’ on herself.

Thus, the skeleton was able to hand the ridiculously tiny glass-bead over to the colossal lizard-woman. While she did want to try to make an elixir out of it, she knew that the answer to all of her problems could much more easily be solved by evolution.

Grabbing a massive red potion from the table near the giant magma-pool, she dropped the mana-core inside, and then chugged it without hesitation. Immediately afterwards, a message appeared before her eyes: “Congratulations on reaching Rank F; please choose your desired evolution.

“Tyrannosaurus-Tribe: Most people would not wish to change their race. By choosing this path, you will be given three stat-points, which you can invest however you wish.

“Tyrannosaurus-Elf: They are a race of giant humanoids, who are covered in smooth, reptilian scales. Their heads and bodies are similar to other Lizard-Tribe, except that they have a long feathery mane, and their faces are much closer to that of Elves. Physical stature will decrease dramatically, and weight will be reduced by fifty-percent. Aura +3, Wisdom +2, Charisma +2, Intelligence +2, Dexterity +1, Agility +1, Perception +1, Strength -2, Vitality -2, Endurance -2.”

“Colossal Reptilian Wind-Elf: Also known as the Gargantuan Monstrous Harpy; they are a race of massive humanoids, with huge feathery wings instead of arms. Their heads are more similar to birds, while their torsos are that of a fair-skinned Elf or Human; the legs are similar to a raptor’s. Physical stature will slightly decrease and weight will be reduced by eighty-percent. Aura +2, Agility +5, Charisma +4, Strength -2, Vitality -2, Endurance -2.”

It wasn’t much of a choice, since she obviously wouldn’t be able to practice Alchemy any longer if she picked the third option. Staying the same would have been counterproductive, so she quickly picked number two.

Alice swiftly grabbed a mysterious blue potion, then mixed it with a pitch-black, gigantic pill. She guzzled the foamy liquid, before moving onto another concoction, which appeared to be a bright-orange and literally flaming cocktail.

Michael couldn’t smell anything, since he was in a skeletal body, but he could see the fumes spreading about the cave. Not just from the random beverages and medicines, but also her rapidly decaying scales.

He muttered “Hmmm~, by this point, the rest of us were usually screaming in horrible agony as we experienced ridiculous amounts of pain… but~, I guess you don’t have ta worry about that if you just take a shit-ton of drugs, huh?”

After a few more drinks and pills, the giant lizard-woman finally laid down and passed out. There was no roaring, and the only noise was her peaceful snoring.

Watching that, he finally realized “Oh~, I get it~! Hahahahah~, so that’s the trick! We’re supposed to slow the process down, so our bones, muscles and everything else, won’t have to transform so quickly!” She also forced her body into hibernation, so that she wouldn’t have to be conscious.

The skeleton stared at her for a few moments, before sighing dramatically and walking out the giant stone door. On his way out of the cave, he passed the two cuddling and sleeping colossal lizard-people, but they didn’t seem to wake up from the noise of his bones clacking.

When Michael finally returned home, he heard the sound of harp-strings being plucked at random. He closed the door behind him and asked “Did ya have fun shitting?” while walking over to the piano and starting to play chords in C-major.

Elina was wearing her silky, white robe, underwear, and even that silver ring. The angelic woman glared at the back of the skeleton, “I see that you’ve added another woman to your harem…”

He snickered, before revealing “Oh yeah~, I completely forgot to tell you this earlier, but I saw your sister on the news a few hours ago.”

The cat-girl tilted her head, asking “What do you mean you saw her? I don’t understand, what’s the news?”

Michael sighed dramatically, “Seriously~, what I wanna know is how the fuck did she become a reporter, and your brother… Well, I guess there wouldn’t be any censorship on a channel called ‘Umbra News Network.’ What I wanna know is, who the hell are they broadcasting to? Hmmm~, although, with magic, it probably wouldn’t be that difficult to do that kinda shit. Maybe it’s an Arcane spell, or at least some sort of device that only someone with the Arcane Affinity could use properly.”

Elina whined “Stop talking to yourself and answer me~!” as she finished playing around with the harp and walked over to the crystalline piano.

“Unfortunately, the projector is in Sarah’s room, so you can’t really watch it. Like, as long as I don’t use ‘Lightening’ or ‘Angelic Grace’ I’m fine, but you… Just don’t ever try to go into the basement, okay? Cause you’ll definitely die, or at least suffer a lot. Hmmm~, your sister looks surprisingly good, compared to the last time I saw her. Maybe she ranked up a bit or learned some kinda spell that can make her look less corpsy? I have no idea what your brother’s situations’ like though, since I only heard his voice. Even if they’re undead, their personalities seem about the same. Have ya tried calling em?” Michael stopped playing, and turned around to face the pouting cat-girl.

She smiled wryly, while tears started streaming down her cheeks, “Of course I did! But… it just says they’re out of range.” Her wings were unconsciously flapping and her extremely light body actually lifted off of the ground a bit.

He grumbled “Oi, can you please stop crying all the fuckin time? Fine, I’ll be right back with a present that might make you feel a bit better.” before vanishing in a pitch-black void of Darkness.

Elina was still weeping for a few minutes, as she sat down at the piano and started trying to play it. Half an hour passed, and she was about to go to sleep, but then the skeleton reappeared in the middle of the living-room.

The angelic girl tilted her head, asking “Where did you go? I tried finding you on the map, but it just said you were still in the basement…”

Suddenly, a middle-aged, chubby woman, with black hair, fluffy cat-ears and a long tail, appeared on the wooden floor beside him. She screamed “Mom! Wait, why, how, what?!” as she quickly ran over to the naked Priestess.

“Hahahaha~! I know, right?! Oh God, it was so fucking funny! Well, I did almost die, but whatever~… When I broke into her house, which took me a while to find, she was sucking this guy’s dick in the bedroom! Hehehe~, so anyway, I was pissed off that I couldn’t masturbate, so I might have knocked the dude out and trapped his body in one of my prison slots. Ah, I kinda punched your mother in the face a little bit, but it’s okay, cause she probably won’t remember it!”

However, noticing that there were no injuries on her, and realizing how ridiculous that story was, Elina frowned at him. Then he sighed dramatically, before telling her “Yeah, yeah, fine~… that would’ve been a lot better than what really happened though~. Ugh, I was serious about not being able to find the fucking place; took me at least fifteen minutes, and that wasn’t including just walking to the damn village, from the middle of a shitty cornfield. Anyway, I snuck into her tiny hovel and found the bitch sleeping in a really ghetto bed. She wasn’t getting gangbanged or anything like that, and I had ta wait for what seemed like an hour, before finally making it back with the ‘Return Home’ feature. Oh, and by the way, this little trip cost me four gold and twenty nine fucking silver, so ya better appreciate it.”

After all of that noise, Laura slowly began to wake-up, but what she saw was just too unbelievable and strange. In front of her eyes was the most beautiful woman that she had ever seen, and she barely even recognized that Feline Lesser Angel as her own daughter.

However, what concerned her more than that, was the fact that a Human Skeleton was casually sitting down at an illustrious crystalline piano, and playing a beautiful melody. Elina knelt down and hugged her mother tightly against her unreasonably large bosom, while whispering “Mom, it’s me… I evolved again, so you might not be able to tell, but it’s definitely your Little Lina.”
