Chapter 159: When Naturae Calls…

“Nyah~, my tummy hurts~… Urp, my heads all fuzzy too~… Mikey~, I think I might be sick~.” Jasmine’s abdomen was swollen to the point where she could certainly have been nine-months pregnant. On the other hand, the Nephilim could clearly see that there were a seemingly endless amount of slithering, pitch-black worms, squirming around inside of her liquid brain.

Michael yelled “Ya think?! If you weren’t a goddamn slime-girl, you’d probably be dead right now! Ugh, no, stop, don’t throw up on me! Grah~! Elina, nope, nope, not my problem… Ignore it, I’m just gonna ignore everything that just happened. No, it didn’t just happen! This is all just a really fucking disgusting nightmare!”

Sarah’s entire body was covered in festering boils, the angelic woman was vomiting, urinating and suffering from uncontrollable diarrhea at the same time. Just when he thought that it couldn’t get any worse, Jasmine’s ‘water’ broke, and dozens of wriggling worms poured out.

They squirmed around and headed straight for the mercurial and golden liquids that were pouring out of Elina. Of course, the Nephilim realized that the only reason he wasn’t in a similar condition to everyone else, was because of his overpowered new ‘immune-system’ Passive.
Even Talia had a slight cold and was feeling run down, while Inari was having a seizure on the ground, and bleeding bright-green liquid all over the white carpet. Hearing all of that noise, Alice woke up and got out of the jacuzzi, lazily stretching her slightly sore muscles. She muttered “Oh sweet, I got a new Passive when I was sleeping…”

“Dragon Blood Level 3: Organs, bones, tissues and even entire limbs can be completely restored, through Health Regeneration. Immunity from all diseases, curses, poisons, and toxins within 10 levels of your current level. Negates 15% of environmental damage. Reduces magical damage taken by 15%.”

What she didn’t notice was that the water she had been sleeping in, had all evaporated by the terrible ‘fever’ that she had suffered from. Few races had the ability to gain such absurdly powerful Passives, but fortunately, Michael and all of his Companions weren’t exactly ‘normal’.

After she managed to ‘expel’ all of those slithering worms, Jasmine suddenly started to feel a lot better. The reason was because of the ridiculous new facet of her biology: “Body of Slime Level 3: The brain is constantly in a liquid state and is circulated throughout the bloodstream, able to rapidly repair damaged organs and tissues. Increases flexibility and elasticity of muscles and skin dramatically. Able to dissolve and consume any parasites, bacteria, viruses, prions, fungi and other organisms within the organs and blood.”

Then there was Inari, who was only surviving because Talia was continuously casting ‘Rapid Regeneration’ and ‘Natural Cure’. Even in such a disgusting situation, the Nephilim was leering at the beautiful and completely naked High-Elf, who was coughing violently and struggling to help the dying fox.

However, he eventually sighed dramatically, and cast his extremely powerful ‘Guardian’s Sacrifice’ spell. Of course, since he wasn’t wearing any of his equipment, it only healed for around one-hundred and thirty.

Since the adorable vixen only had a maximum of one-hundred and ten, the effects were still fairly profound. Her body was illuminated in a blindingly bright white-light, and she stopped spasming violently, letting out a quiet whimper.

Suddenly, the whole room was enveloped in a gentle and terrifying green aura. Then a three-meter tall, androgynous dryad materialized next to the equally gigantic dragoness.

“Yo~! Been a while~, Harem Keeper! Hahahaha~… ” When Naturae appeared, both Talia and Inari were both instantly cured of their illnesses, while receiving ridiculously potent Passives.

“Naturae’s Blessing Level 1: Organs, bones, tissues and even entire limbs can be completely restored, through Health Regeneration. Immunity from all diseases, curses, poisons, and toxins within 5 levels of your current level.”

Those crystalline eyes slowly scanned the High-Elf’s naked body, while a smirk appeared on its face. “Damn girl, you’ve gotten hella sexier since the last time we met, heh-heh~! Ah, well, I guess ya prolly don’t remember me… Umm~, hmm~, oh yeah~, bout sixty-ish years ago-”

“You… you were that dryad!? Why has your manner of speech and appearance changed so much?” Talia immediately recalled one of the most significant events in her entire life; when she was only fourteen, and not even an adolescent, her mother died.

At the time, the two of them were living in on the border of the ‘Forbidden Forest’, and her father was always being sent on covert missions. Thus, she barely ever saw him, and the most important person to herself was obviously her only ‘real’ parent.

A huge, level-thirty Raid Boss, in the shape of a giant centipede, had completely demolished their home. While her mother was a powerful swordswoman, it was only to the extent of being able to stall the beast for a moment, before being torn apart and devoured.

The only reason that the little girl had survived, was because an unranked High-Elf wasn’t even worth the effort of eating. After wandering through the jungle for weeks, struggling to survive on nothing but random berries and nuts that she was able to forage, her luck had finally run out.

She found a mysterious apple-tree, which was growing in a completely empty clearing, but it was being guarded by dozens of small and invisible serpents. Even though she grabbed one of the delicious, glowing, red fruits, one of the snakes chomped down on her left arm.

If it wasn’t for the fact that she had suddenly been given the spell ‘Aerial-Step,’ she wouldn’t have been able to escape. Even though she did make it far away from that place, the creature’s venom had already entered her veins, and she was on the brink of death.

When she ate the apple, her suffering was somewhat lessened and there was even a mild healing effect. However, she was still dying, but then a beautiful dryadic woman appeared. She gazed down at the little girl and whispered “I see that you’re one of my daughter’s children… I suppose that makes me your grandmother, huh? Here, eat this and grow up big and strong… You’re going to be very important in the future.”

After that little flash-back, Naturae snickered and explained “Yeah~, well, ya know, we ain’t all xactly alike, right? When ya start splittin yer mind up inta different avatars… It’s just somethin that happens. Anyway~, I ain’t here ta see yer sexy body… though if ya ever wanna lose that title, let me know, heh-heh~. Mike, I came ta ask ya for a favor. That crazy hoe, my lil’ sis, is sendin her hordes uh scumbags ta fuck around in my garden… Can ya please convince her ta not do that shit? It ain’t a Quest, fer ovious reasons, but here, look, I can give yer doggie a nice treat.”

“Essence of Naturae: An extremely potent rank-D, level-twenty mana-core, personally created by the Goddess of Nature.” Quickly utilizing ‘Scan,’ Michael was definitely tempted by that bright-green bead, and its scent even woke the dog-sized fox out of her painful slumber.

Glancing over at the disgusting worms that were ‘cleaning up’ Elina’s mess, and the shivering, boil-covered Dark-Goblin, he sighed dramatically and nodded his head. The Nephilim got out of bed and hesitantly said “Bring me to Chaos… I’ll ‘convince’ her, somehow.”

In a flash of green light, the two of them instantly vanished, but both Sarah and the angelic cat-girl were too sick to even understand what was happening. On the other hand, even Alice and Talia were completely confused.

Finally, Jasmine yelled “Nyah~! Mahou Shoujo Kuro-chan! Lookie, look~ at~ them~! Heheheh~, these are our babies~!” as she pointed to the dozens of rapidly growing obsidian worms.

However, at that moment, the bright-blue boils all over Sarah’s neck, chest, back, legs and arms suddenly burst open. Hundreds of tiny demonic, shadowy spiders emerged from her flesh, and they all pounced upon their squirming and helpless ‘siblings’.

Watching that, the little girl started crying loudly, “Wah~! Stop it~! Stop eating each-other nyah~! Wah~, my babies~, they’re, uhoo~, meow~!” There was a war between the worms and arachnids, and as they continued devouring their victims, eventually only a single creature remained.

“Chaotic Shadow Spider, Level-2, Rankless,” was above the tiny critter’s body, but a moment after its victory, Elina’s body began emitting a terrifying aura of Light.

The defenseless little monster disintegrated, and the deathly ill angelic cat-girl received a message: “You have gained Angelic Blood Level 1: Organs, bones, tissues and even entire limbs can be completely restored, through Health Regeneration. Immunity from all diseases, curses, poisons, and toxins within 5 levels of your current level.”

As for Sarah, she was completely recovered as well, and obtained “The Blood of Umbra Level 1: Organs, bones, tissues and even entire limbs can be completely restored, through Health Regeneration. Immunity from all diseases, curses, poisons, and toxins below your current level.”

It was obvious that the Goddesses had decided to remove from them, the ‘limiter’ that the majority of NPCs were forced to cope with. They could still get sick, but not unless they entered environments that were far beyond their current level.

  1. Did I miss something? Why was everyone so freakishly sick? I went back to the last chapter and read the last few paragraphs and am apparently still missing it.

    • They had shitty immune systems, then spend like 2 days in a dingy dungeon lol Elina had sex with Michael and caught some kinda horrible flu, Sarah’s tentacle sprayed a bunch of horrible parasites inside of Jasmine’s body and Sarah probably caught a case of crazy chaotic spider-boils from Michael lol. Talia was only a little sick, cause she didn’t have any crazy orgies, avoided eating raw tiger meat, and had the strongest immune system out of the seven of them(Before Michael got the whole Chaotic Blood thing)
