Chapter Eleven: The Sniper

I’ve always had a strong sense of justice, but marksmanship takes practice.  To gain accuracy requires many targets, life is cheap.  I never truly understood that, until I met Michael. Continue reading

Chapter Nine: Business

The most important things in life are usually so boring that you wish it was possible to fast forward through them.  Unfortunately, while I can skip over days, months or years when telling a story… it wasn’t so simple in reality. Continue reading

Chapter Eight: The Inventor

I was a blacksmith, not a mage, nor a healer, just a girl who liked to make weapons.  At 14 I was technically an adult, so I entered that silly competition. Continue reading

Chapter Seven: Headaches

In a world without magic, what doesn’t kill you, only makes you weaker until you inevitably succumb to your injuries.  When it comes to magic, the rules are always much more difficult to understand. Continue reading

Chapter Five: The Center of The World

I gave Ethir that mark because I knew he would do something incredibly reckless.  He was a child desperately seeking a place to belong and wanted to prove his usefulness to me.  Maybe I should have asked him directly, to steal from a bookstore.  Why the hell would anyone immediately think, royal library? Continue reading

Chapter Four: The Thief

I’ve always been a thief and a coward, but I was never ashamed of myself until that day.  I saw over a hundred-thousand people die in a few moments, then that monster forced everyone who was left to entertain him. Continue reading

Chapter Three: The First Battle

Perhaps because of destiny or fate, important events in my lives typically happen in sevens and threes.  I probably knew the reason once upon a time, but now it’s just a gut feeling.  On my third birthday I showed Rae one of my more pleasant memories, it seemed to cheer her up quite a bit. Oh hey, I made a blog.  Sigh, it took so much time and effort, but I still don’t really know what I’m doing lol.

Well, I managed to separate the chapters into four pages, based on volumes.  When I tried to place them in individual pages, I reached some kind of limit on the amount of times I could parent pages in Act Two… which didn’t really make sense to me, but whatever.

If I can figure out how to get it to work later, I’ll change things… though I might still keep the full volumes the way they are for the people who prefer to read them that way… plus it took a lot of effort for me to set up all the links and stuff :(.

Anyway, that’s pretty much it, I’m not done writing chapter five yet, but on the positive side of things, I have a pretty solid idea about how the rest of this Act will play out now.  It will most likely be an 11 chapter volume, and probably the longest so far.

Fun fact I discovered because wordpress gives you wordcounts of everything, my whole story so far is over 260,000 words.  Volume One was 74k, Volume Two was 83k, Volume Three was 66k, and what I’ve written of Volume Four so far is up to 38k.

I’ll probably make a character sheet on this site when I have time, there are lots of characters… and other things that I would like to talk about.  I’m still going to post chapters on Royal Road, but aside from that, it’s kind of difficult to post things beside chapters there.

For example: Here’s a link to Animenz playing a piano cover of This Game the theme song from No Game No Life.

Question: Why did I link that?

Answer: Because I can, and I enjoy listening to piano covers of anime theme songs.

Okay, before I start linking videos of Tigers Eating Catnip… never-mind, it’s already too late.

Ah, Youtube, how did we survive before the internet anyway?
