OP-ness Returns, Chapter 7: Michael’s Gear and Stats

Once the four calmed down a bit, Michael was the first to notice that his Equipment function was available again. Mainly because of the massive notification he received.

[Congratulations! You are the first Player to own a Mythical Item!]

He wasn’t given a title or anything, and the only reason he managed to achieve that, was because the Mythical Rarity didn’t exist a few hours prior. That actually wasn’t his highest Rarity item though.

[Michael’s Stats

Health: 600/600+225/1070
Mana: 255/255+55/255
Stamina: 300/300+0/545
Mana Regen per minute: 330+510
Health Regen per hour: 600+1070

Strength: 55+115
Vitality: 60+107
Endurance: 60+109
Dexterity: 26
Agility: 42+10
Intelligence: 51+51
Wisdom: 33+51
Perception: 20+10
Charisma: 25

Willpower: 31+13
Luck: 31+7
Aura: 160

Attack Power: 275+90+575
Defense Rating: 30+460+54.5]

“That’s kinda weird?” Michael murmured, immediately noticing a difference in the way the stats were displayed. The biggest change was that he now had two Health and Mana Pools. He noticed that his Health Regen was combined, even though there was a ‘+’, it didn’t affect the individual Health Pools separately. His total Health Regen per hour was 1670. While his Maximum Health was a total of 1670… However, his second Health Pool was empty when his Gear was automatically Equipped earlier. Essentially, even if he ‘took off’ or switched out his current Equipment, it wouldn’t have any impact on his base Health and Mana.

“Honestly, I’ve always kinda felt like the person who created this System was just too lazy or shitty at math to add everything up… Wait, for that matter, if this was really some sort of VR game, then wouldn’t those kinds of calculations be incredibly easy? They can alter the fucking laws of physics and distort reality until it seems like a game, but they can’t do basic addition for the statuses? It seriously seems like the kinda thing I’d do…”

Author’s Note: Is it really breaking the 4th wall, if the character in the story was the one who wrote the story? At least in the context of the story, that’s what happened near the end of Hardcore Legacies… The question is, “What the fuck did these seven assholes decide to write into existence?” Unlike ‘me’, the actual real-life author, these blissful idiots had hundreds of years without the need to eat, sleep, shit or piss and were free to do whatever the hell they wanted to their own ‘Reality’.

On the other hand, I’m here struggling to just take my antibiotics and thyroid medicine on time every day for the next week or so. I’ll have to take the thyroid stuff for a few more months, but I’m hopeful that things will work out in the end. Anyway, back to number crunching… I was debating whether I should just put all the stats and stuff in one singular gigantic chapter, however… If I do that, you all might not see an update for a week or longer.
