HCOP Book 2, Chapter 79: Morality

The tiny dryad argued “I agree with Miguel… It is irresponsible and irrational to resurrect this infant. If its soul was still attached to its body, I could understand, but this child is already deceased. At the most, we should give her a proper burial.” Continue reading

New Story

Okay, so I just woke up and thought that I should give you guys/girls some updates on the new story I’ve been working on the past few days. Continue reading

TDoE V2 Chapter 13: The Divine Armory

Until that moment, I truly hadn’t realized how crazy the world really was. At first I was with Di, then I went to a ‘peaceful’ underwater palace where everyone seemed pretty nice. I had treated that situation with the random psychos in the woods as some isolated incident that probably didn’t happen very often. Continue reading

HCOP Book 2, Chapter 78: Experimentation

“Oh yeah~, that reminds me! What exactly ‘are’ Legacies anyway? I get what Artifacts are, but I just can’t really understand what the difference between my gear and the stuff that those guys have is?” Michael transformed from a wisp, into an actual physical body. It was one of Sarah’s Ghouls, and six-inches shorter than his Nephilim form. Continue reading

TDoE V2 Chapter 11: Shopping

“Rank-F3 Demonic Thunder-Fish Oil: 35 CP.” An ointment that could treat electrical burns for Apprentices. It was also used in various Cultivation Methods that involved tempering a person’s flesh with lightning. There were only three-ounces in the tiny spray-bottle. Continue reading

TDoE V2 Chapter 10: Above the Water

The ‘Blooming Orchid’ Secret Technique that Di had wanted to teach me required me to have a Dryadic or Treant Bloodline. Hua Mei had her ‘Vicious Maw’ ability, which could only be practiced by people who were related to sharks. However, since most Humans on Genesis didn’t have any special Bloodlines, obviously the majority of Secret Techniques were designed for ‘normals’. Continue reading

TDoE V2 Chapter 9: Intro to Druidry

Normal books did exist and there were even weird holographic projectors, but the main advantage of those fancy jade slips was the temporal dilation. Of course, there wasn’t actually any alteration of time itself. My brain was simply working way faster than normal and the information within was able to be imprinted into my mind more efficiently. Unfortunately, it wasn’t some instantaneous thing. It was more like being able to read, watch or hear a recording thousands of times faster than normal. Continue reading

TDoE V2 Chapter 8: Master Hua Jiang

Even though there were metal wheels on the bottom of Mei’s luggage and the floor was mostly smooth marble, it still wasn’t very easy for her to pull the damn thing. It must have weighed at least two-hundred pounds. There were all sorts of soaps, perfumes, preservatives, a folded up massage table, sleeping bags, way more clothes than either of us would ever need and other random shit that I can’t even remember. She definitely would have taken the furniture too, but the opening of the ‘Extradimensional Chest’ wasn’t quite big enough to fit anything. Continue reading

TDoE V2 Chapter 7: Conscription

When you spend enough time with another person, you either end up hating them… or loving them. Now, I’m not saying that you need to have sex with them or that sexual desire even has anything to do with it. That fondness that builds up can even be felt for inanimate objects. I definitely had an emotional connection to my computer in my last life, even though I knew that it couldn’t love me back. Continue reading

TDoE V2 Chapter 6: Chess

“The little boy played Chess on his special board every day, constantly becoming better at the game. Whenever he won a match against a tough opponent, he felt a strange sense of power welling up inside of his body. Eventually, he managed to reach the first level of the Novice Stage. With the state of his body, the doctors told him that he could never Cultivate, even with the help of incredibly powerful medicinal pills or healing techniques.” Continue reading
